Siebel Open UI 8.1.1.11 Released

Siebel as promised have delivered Siebel 8.1.1.11  version and is available on e-delivery for download.

I got a chance to go through the bookshelf and its good to see that the bookshelf has been made quite explanatory and is vast almost 600 pages. And the manifest_extension.map and custom_manifest.xml have found no place in this release but this feature has been moved to Manifest Administration screen part of Application Administration. This screen would be used to map all the mapping and manage files. 

All the existing files would need to be modified as there is a new line of code that needs to be added to alll js files from 8.1.1.11. All the details has been included in the bookshelf with example.

Steps to download

1. Go to https://edelivery.oracle.com and login
2. Accept the terms and conditions and click continue
3. Select Siebel CRM as product pack and platform required
4. Select Siebel Industry Applications Innovation Pack 2013 Release 8.1.1.11 Media Pack for Microsoft Windows
5. Download the below zip files for the local setup

How to call a Business Service from a PM/PR file in Siebel Open UI

I was working on a requirement where I had to call a Siebel Business Service from PM/PR files. Oracle Support gave a pretty simple steps to the same. But for each of the Business service to be called had to register it as a user property in the Siebel Application user property. This would need a SRF change every time and was not that easily feasible. So came up with the below practice which avoided the SRF change.
